Memoir
I have many great memories at LHS. I don't live in the past but I enjoy going back every now and then to reflect on one great accomplishment, thanks to my Track Coach Mr. Dave Loera.
He taught me that hard work pays off.
I grew up with very little and I recall not being able to have or enjoy many of the things my friends had. The one thing I had that no one else had was the ability to say that "I'm a City Champion!" I trained and trained and as a senior in 1985, I ran the 1 mile at Birmingham HS and beat out rivals Eagle Rock, Garfield, Wilson, San Pedro, Monroe and Venice H.S.
I was proud then and know to have represented Lincoln High School. That experience has helped me to be a better person and to always work hard.
To all my team mates "The Tiger Babes" Keep on running!!!!!! and keep in touch.
